Et tu, Uvulae?
In 4 days I had maybe 10 hours of sleep total.
Well the first two were justified. Kinda. I drew for about 17 hours straight again (trying to finish EVERYTHING I couldn't last month on top of this months work early), all hopped up on caffeine pills and 5 hour energy because I had the bright idea of starting at 8pm. Then, as what should have been a short break, I started playing Dark Souls for the first time since it was gifted to me on PC and I couldn't stop for 10 hours. Whatever. All in.... 2-days work, right? Resuming a normal healthy life schedule the next day?
Nope.
Fucking god damn uvulitus that night.
I'm sure most of you all have had it before, but I want to complain anyway.
I breathe in and the grape sized thing squeezes into my throat and hopefully stays behind my tonsils so I can breathe through my nose without any distressful sensation. What happens if I breathe and it pushes through this secure spot? I start gagging. Beyond sometimes dry heaving when I'm up, when I'm laying down the sensation of having this grape sized thing suspended in my throat is so intense due to the chronic inflammation brought on by allergic rhinitis and just... fuck it all. This sucks. Second night in a row with this.
Wah wah wah etc if this keeps up I'm going to the doctors/ hospital~

I'd recommend drinking lots of water and getting some sleep. Stay away from NSAID's like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. Menthol will help, so maybe try halls or some throat lozenge.
Plus if you're going to have alcohol at some point within the next week(!) after taking it you're running the risk of mild to severe liver toxicity.
There are legitimate cases where drugs like Ibuprofen, etc, are necessary but I would prefer to avoid them altogether if possible, just to minimize the stress on your body.
I'd also like to hear more about the liver toxicity because the only case of that I'm aware of is a rare type B reaction.

First of all, not sure if this is much good.
Second of all, as much as I know I can get it for free, In your position I would still DEFINITELY go and get it checked out.
Hope you get well soon!

If I recall you said you had sleep problems. I imagine the caffeine pills and energy drinks aren't helping sleep happen. Something is wildly interfering with sleep scheduling wise and if it can actually be changed, then try to change it, even if it means giving up gaming to actually get more sleep. The body doesn't secrete B vitamins and caffeine during sleep and constant sleeplessness is going to degrade your immune system even furtherrr
If anything it's drawing and PTSD from waking up to the fire that's the culprit... but I had to put it out there lest anyone thing I'm some upper chugging gamer - which I'm not - just because I mentioned Dark Souls this once. Either way I hear you, and the fatigue is definitely setting in... some days being completely lost to a sleep, 5 hour zombie walk, then sleep again cycle~
Well, in that case, all that being known, I hope eventually you can feel more secure at some point!
As a side note, last I checked it still hadn't managed to kill me, so you should be fine and it will swell down at some point. Like the person above said, lots of water. I would recommend some warm broth too to make it feel better.
Consider it a mixed blessing, at least the energy drinks have an effect on you. I can drink a 5 Hour Energy and not be affected because I made the dumb mistake of using them all throughout high school. A couple months of late night gaming later, and I have 80+ Red Bull's in the fridge which provide me less energy now compared to a full nights sleep. Just be careful, because eventually you'll end up able to drink three of those Five Hour Energy's without so much of a change in reaction time.
Those little slices of death, how I loathe them.
If it's that much, you really need to go.
