As Seen On DA...
----
Since I started my blog, I've been wanting to shove it into its own site complete with my own custom EVERYTHING. (Yes, I mean EVERYTHING).
I had moved on to droxproductions.cu.cc (which is now essentially defunct) in hopes that I would have the inspiration to create the rest of the site. My brain farted.
When I wasn't doing music the past month or so, I've been working out what I would do exactly if I had my own site. The past week or two included some HTML, CSS, and minutia of javascript work. Today I can bring to light what my original vision was: http://droxproductions.hostei.com/
The index page is the blog - woot - and I have an accurate About page as well as a page where I can show off my latest Bandcamp albums without having to force people to go directly to bandcamp. Unfortunately, I can't stream audio/video under the web host so I can't appropriately embed youtube or livestream, or bandcamp (if I could even figure a way to do that last one). But it makes a good start.
When the wordpress theme is 'done', I might finish setting it up to Wordpress standards and potentially release it - but for now, it remains a Drox Productions original.
---[Updates]---
* Music is on the back-burner this month, as I can't seem to balance doing music with much else. That whole...going from one extreme to the other thing, where when I go to make music that's all that goes on in my head and stresses me out until I pop veins in my eyeballs and have issues sleeping...yeah.
* The website is therefore my focus - I intend to finish the Wordpress theme and start coding a back-end tool to help manage my Second Life sales, with intent to create an in-game delivery server and tool-set. Not overly hard to do, really.
* I'm also going to add a paypal button to my site. As an artist who is emotionally incapable of holding a job and who has had some hard luck getting back into college, I need the help where I can get it. A few bucks means the difference between upgrading the site or not, or being able to get some small extra item IRL here and there.
* FurCon is off the list of conventions to visit, given hard luck trying to get anywhere. I'm hoping there will be luck in not only getting to AnthroCon this next year, but also luck in grabbing an artist's alley table - the only Artist's Alley this side of the pond I know that doesn't require a tax ID. If I can get the funding, I intend to take my newest audio releases pre-con and get full CD / Cover prints of them.
* That being said, I also fully intend to create several albums in the run up to AnthroCon TO distribute. Full art of CD and cover will be uploaded here as albums complete.
