MiDFur con report! Pandacoon Style!

My con report C: Haven't done one of these in a while :P Technically this was my first convention that could be classed as an 'international' convention since I flew from New Zealand. Gonna go day by day, don't be offended if I forget to mention you, i'm terrible with names and faces!
Monday: Got in hella early... did not sleep, napped a bit on the plane and got out through customs like a ninja at 8:30am Melbourne time. Couldn't check in till 2pm so I ran around, looked around the city and went for Red Rooster and Boost since we don't have them here in NZ and they are one of the biggest things i've missed. A pretty average day that ended with me crashing epicly after catching up with a few friends.
Tuesday: LET THE FUN BEGIN. Slept in as much as I could then headed off for a lovely breakfast, caught up with a bunch of friends and then watched the furries in performance in fursuit with 2 Gryphon there. Was -hilarious-. Then bummed around for a late lunch, and off to the dance fracas trials! I had fun and made a fool of myself with video to prove it which I will post up soon. I feel terribly for another dancer who actually popped his knee during his performance which was absolutely stunning and I was personally sad that he could not continue cause he had practiced and was doing amazingly well.
After cooling off from the fracas I decided not to suit at the dance that night but watched the opening ceremony, the new hall of fame inductees then off to the grand opening dance! Suffice to say people broke my challenge of "no RL photos" and i'm glad they did :P Was a fun time.
Wednesday: SCREW YOU EARLY MORNINGS. I slept in again :I This coon doesn't like <11am. I was going to go to the Females in the Fandom but decided against it and went to basic construction! Then I went to annoy 2 Gryphon in "2 Rants" because it's fun annoying him :I
After that, I went to fursuit photos with the lovely Moskinta and his wife C: They are always amazing to work with and we got some lovely shots, can't wait to see them mate!
Shortly after I desuited, went to the Supersponsor dinner with all the guests and other sponsors, and had fun with Alex the Lion with dessert cups with Uncle Kage and 2 Gryphon scaring him. So much fun <3 After dinner I went back to the hotel room due to leg problems (I have had my kneecap detatch from where it sits and slide 2" down my leg. It has been assessed and I have yet another appointment tomorrow).
Thursday: Another later start :P I slept in late in preparation for what the day had in it awaiting me. I did nothing till fursuit performing after lunch and even then left early because of nerves. I then watched the 2 sense show before suiting up and did the fursuit fracas finals! Due to personal reasons I will not go into detail about; I was unhappy about what was said during said competition and continued on to de-suit and help people out with the fursuit walk immediately afterwards.
After the walk I returned to get prepared for the dance only to find a paw for my suit missing. Yes I had left my suit in the headless lounge, a room that is constantly closed -- but a singular paw? I'd hope no one would be horrible enough to do that. After a 2hr hunt and scouring the entire hotel and asking people to check bags -- I gave up and went to bed, ignoring the dance.
Friday: Pissed off, I returned to the convention to find my friends Tenino and Chay had gotten me a replacement pair of paws that exactly matched my suit! =D Immediately suited up, cause why not? Instant mood fix :P
Ducked into fursuit care, ran around in suit like a dork then desuited for some noms. Afterwards a very Sirius dragon came up and I suited as Acid Husky for the night. Fucking fun as shit. Never have I wanted an angry character as much as I do now!
After that I chilled with friends and had some fun!
Saturday: I missed both the photoshoot and the furry wedding due to important medical appointments and phonecalls, though congratulations to Spence and BCwolf on their matrimonial ceremony! Screw the government you have each other!
After that I went to the Charity performance where we watched Uncle Kage down a full bottle of Australian Sake.. woah. Then charity auction where we raised $13,400AUD for the Australian Dingo Foundation! Fucking good effort!
Finishing up with the closing ceremony then an amazing show by Laserman. Holy. Fuck. I wanted to see more ;_____;
Danced in suit, got some good footage and shots, then took off. My body (especially my poor legs) had enough and were to the point of almost collapsing..
Sunday: I moved to Darkentiger and Husky's room and spent the day napping and watching movies, cheers for the amazing food Boxer, and letting me stay there Darken! Much appreciated!
Monday: A fullday of waiting and heading to the airport and more waiting. Played pokemon and managed to fit my entire suit in one suitcase. Miracle. A rough start to the flight but I managed to sleep for 3/4 of it. Woke up to the 10min warning that we were about to land!
Now that i'm back home I have alot to do. A few artworks, I have to renew my passport before facing deportation (a sad reality but I still can get booted from NZ if my passport is not up to date), a flight to Brisbane for important family matters, my shoes need re-doing to help my bad feet and legs, and I have multiple medical appointments and check-ups as well as blood tests etc. I will be extremely busy but i'm still trying to do what I can inbetween work shifts now.
