I don't care about adoptables, and I don't care if anyone else does or not. I just find it funny how people who do like them are shaming those who don't because "artists work hard on them." That is not always true. I've unwatched several artists who, though they were otherwise talented, tried to schill out adoptables at $60 or more a pop selling a dozen with only minor color changes between them. This is the most underhanded, dishonest, and cheap thing I can think of for an artist to do. If an artist wants a quicker way to make a few bucks, that's his or her own business, but I only respect those who make an honest effort at making each individual look appealing on its own. Few that I've seen do. End of story, I'm not debating my opinion with anyone. Don't like it, gtfo.
I do agree however with some arguments that are coming out of the woodwork over this recent issue against the use of multiple accounts, especially for things like adoptables. This just encourages spam, scamming, and wasted server space, not to mention trolling and harassment thanks to the anonymity of having a backup account to do all of your stalking from. It's probably not practically enforcible, but it would go a long way to reigning in the community's misfits.

Uhh I'm not too fond of people who do just cookie cutter adopts, or people who act like adoptables are the worst thing ever.
I think a good idea would be like, gallery folders so that way people don't have to have as many accounts?
Folders have been discussed in the community for a long time, and I think that would be the best solution for everyone. I'm still patiently waiting for a new commission info page though, so I'm not holding my breath. :|
Yeh I mean I can understand separate accounts to keep porn and clean art apart but I always felt stuff like commissions and personal art and adoptables could still be in the same account. Hhhm.
I don't mind the adult accounts as much, and it makes sense for artists who do a lot of highly fetishized art and either don't want it associated with their clean art or want to hide it altogether. Still, in a lot of cases I think folders would be a better option, especially if watchers could have the option of which folders they want to watch or avoid.
Hmm yeah that's kinda what I get at. Like I separate my gore art from my main gallery and account because I know a lot of my watchers are sensitive to that so I don't want to wreck the rest of my art for them.
Hmm but if you could watch certain folders that would be really cool!
