Faunis 0.1 pre-alpha released
Dear readers!
Finally the time has come: The very first Faunis development release 0.1 has been published!
https://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/faunis
You can download it there from the "download area" and get a first impression of its very early stage of development. The two archive files ".tar.gz" and ".zip" both have the same content, just choose the zipfile if you're using windows.
Note that Faunis is currently configured to have client and server run on the same computer and not over the Internet, as encryption and server protection haven't been implemented yet.
The archive file contains both compiled and source form of client and server, so you don't have to compile it yourself. To get started, first extract the archive, then read the included "windows.txt" and "readme.txt". I hope that I wrote these documentation files with enough details for you to make it work.
Ah, and of course, remember that both client and server must be started. Client commands are explained in the readme. There are two pre-created accounts named "user1" (password "user1") and "user2" (password "user2") which you can log in to. "user1" has the character "oso1", "user2" has the character "oso2".
If you still have questions, just ask the burr. :o]
I want to thank
jetbear for becoming my first staff member. If you too would like to take part in development, send me a note.
*warm hugs to all*
