TMI - 3rd Times a Charm?
Screw it. If anyone still want to play, ask away. Ask about me, my characters, anything you have in mind.
I'll (probably) answer, though I can't guarantee that every question will get a serious one!

FA+

I'm planning to do more with her in the upcoming year, too.
dont you have a female bear character too?
Unfortunately, I don't. I've had Sunflower drawn with
Did I get it right?
1. How are you today?
2. What were some previous iterations of the wedding ceremony in City of Cats, and how did you decide on the final one with the drum?
3. With Fiachra being comfortably female now, what are your future plans for the character? What will you be exploring, and will the decision be reflected in future stories?
4. Speaking of, do you have any plans in the future to explore yourself? I think I remember you mentioning a while back that you didn't have many opportunities to be yourself where you were, and I can definitely relate to that.
5. Has there been anything you've ever been curious to ask me, but haven't for shyness or another reason?
2. I think you asked this once before, and I don't think I ever actually answered. To be honest, I just sort of went with the first bunch of ideas that came to my mind. So the ceremony with the drum is the first and only version, though of course I polished the edges some as I edited the work. As to why? Well, I wanted something rather stately and, for lack of a better word, ceremonial, but with just enough of a twist to show that this was the product of a unique civilization rather than something entirely borrowed from the real world. I've always though of the different groups on the island as being somewhat tribal and clannish, almost more like extended families than what we get in modern society and, to be honest, drums just sort of fit into that image rather neatly. It was originally going to be something smaller, more akin to the Irish bodhrán, but I wanted something a bit larger that could be actually heard over a large area.
3. That's a good question. I'm still kind of feeling my way along with how to handle Fiachras new-found femininity. I hope to keep her as true to her old self as possible, though I'm going to try to tone down so much of the naughty stuff, and right now I'm thinking of exploring how different members of Fiachra's family react to the change. We've already seen Niamh comforting her, and I think the two of them will stay as close as they've always been. The same goes for her and Ciara, because I can't imagine Ciara ever turning her back on anyone she loves. As for future stories, I'm planning to try writing at least one story around the change, just to see how it goes. I can't promise anything, though, as this sort of thing does hit rather close to home.
4. Another good question. As of right now, I don't know. I don't see many chances to do that at present, but it would be great if I could get the chance.
5. Oh yes. You know me, I'm nosy as I can be. But I haven't, partly because I didn't want to be rude, but mostly because I always thought that it wasn't my place to ask about things that you hadn't elaborated on yourself. You know I consider you a very dear friend, and I'd never want to intrude on your privacy.
Hope that answers at least some of the questions! I do tend to ramble on a bit, here and there.
2b. That makes me curious. How many cities/clans are there, and how many have you written for?
3b. I understand not being able to promise a story. I remember you telling me that your stories are one of the ways you explore the world and ideas and yourself, and I was just curious if you'd be using that as an outlet. I'd love to read any of those you work on, if there's any you decide to write or show, but I definitely don't want you to feel pressured to it or anything. This was a wonderful answer to what I asked, so thank you for sharing!
4b. If you ever find that you have privacy in your own room to open a package, I could at least help out with what I can there! I'm doing gift-cards to Sock Dreams for people this year, too, if you decide you want a pair of stockings.
5b. To be honest, you're one of the few people I'd feel completely comfortable talking to about anything. If there's ever anywhere you want to put your nose, don't be afraid to do it! It'd be fine if you brought up my past, present, future, horrible events or gender issues. Waiting for me to elaborate on anything would take a long time! I'm quite reserved and quiet when to myself, save for special occasions. Feel free to note me, ask on my TMI Tuesday journal, or here for anything your curiosity tickles you to!
2b. On Viridis, the island where Ciara lives and which is my major world setting, there are about three major groups, each centered around their own city-state. There are the foxes, who are meant to be the native inhabitants of the island and who actually ruled most of it uncontested for generations. There are the lynxes, who were inspired by the Dublin Norse from real world history. They originally came to the island as raiders and pirates, but over the last several hundred years they've settled parts of the island and started to integrate into the society there. And there are the rabbits, who are largely merchants and farmers and who have almost always stayed neutral and kept out of the way of the fighting between the foxes and lynxes. I've always had it in mind to include a group of wolves on the island, too, especially now that I've pretty much made Bleu and Fiachra an official couple, but I haven't figured out how best to introduce them yet.
3b. I'd certainly love to write a story or two around Fiachra's new life, and I'll do my best to. But yeah, the muse can be fickle sometimes. I'm glad you understand, though, and if I do get anything done I'll certainly post it here.
4b. Aww, well that's very sweet of you. It's only if you want to, of course, but that would be wonderful. And I'd certainly owe you for it!
5b. Aw, well thank you. I may just do so at some point, and I really do appreciate your trust. Likewise, if there's anything you'd like to ask me, you're more than welcome to, and you may certainly send me a note about it if you'd rather not ask it publicly, too. And, naturally, if I ever do ask you anything you'd rather not answer, no answers will be demanded.
Have you ever seen a ghost?
How about a UFO?
Do you think there are any real psychics?
How about those people who can bend spoons by mind power or other displays of telekinesis?
Pre-cognizance?
Reincarnation?
Am I asking too many questions?
Nope. I don't believe in 'em, myself.
Again, no. I think it's possible that there's life on other planets, but I don't think anyone's gonna come knocking with ray-guns in hand. Or bother with mutilating our crops, cattle or backsides.
No, I don't. I think there are people with a lot of imagination and that's about it.
No, frankly I think they're even less likely. The human mind is a wonderful thing, but I haven't seen any evidence of it being able to give people those sorts of powers.
Again, nope, for lack of evidence.
I'd like to, but, again, I don't see any evidence for it.
And no, you're not asking too many questions.
Now. In regards to the above, I'm not going to knock people who do believe in any or all of the things listed. If you or anyone who reads this does believe in them, that's fine. I just haven't seen any sort of evidence that suggests to me that these things exist.
I do hope you won't take anything I said as criticism or my trying to take a superior tone. I know a lot of people who take my position can get kind of haughty about it, but I do my best not to be that way.
