I want your opinions on this.

My brother and I share a PS3, xbox 360 and a PC. To stop fighting and tantrums we both own each of them. We both regularly use the xbox 360 and the PC (which is broken right now) but the PS3 we barely use and was gathering dust in a cupboard... occasionally I would feel nostalgic or bored and want to play on the PS3. I felt that way today and as I went to get the console my brother told me that he had let his friend borrow it. I was a little angry because he hadn't asked me about it but since I didn't play on it that much I let it slide and asked when he was gonna get it back, he told me that he wasn't going to get it back because he planned on selling it to his friend. He arranged all this without telling me at all. He also refuses to get it off of his friend now that I have asked for it back.
Am I just being stupid for being pissed at him or should I not care?
He said he was planning to sell it to his friend and then just give me half of the money he got. The funny thing is that if he had asked me if he could sell it to his friend then I would have probably said yes, but since he went behind my back and was going to sell it without telling me, I don't want him to sell it.
Am I blowing this whole thing out of proportion or would you guys feel the same way? I guess i'm just writing this to let off a little steam but I still don't want him to sell it, so i'm gonna keep trying to get him to give it back.
Long story short: My brother went behind my back and is going to sell our PS3 to his friend without telling me about it.

After this, I think that you two should write up a little contract saying that you both own the said items, and that neither one of you can take action with the items (ie, like selling them) without the other's permission.
Otherwise, I wish you the best of luck sorting all this out.
"We had a contract saying that we have an our each on the computer!"
"Haha i would never write a contract, you're lying!"
"Here it is."
"This is stupid i dont believe it."
Then he would deny everything to do with it and my mum would back him up or just yell at us both for arguing >_>
This little brat cant be reasoned with, he always gets higher ground with my mum but im going to get her to make him get the PS3 back because im sure she will side with me on this >.<
I have had a very similar experience with this myself (though with a friend instead of a brother), and the only way I got my stuff back when he refused to pay me was because I had written out an agreement between us, and had his mom and dad both witness it. Because of that, he wasn't able to whinge his way out of it, and gave me back my stuff.
Otherwise, I wish you luck on dealing with this little cretin!! This is why I'm glad all three of my brothers were full grown and out of the house before I was born. My sister never cared for video games, so I got to hog all the game systems myself!! ^^
And you're very welcome. This advice helped me out of a bad situation, and I hope it does the same for you.
Also, I hope you have the happiest of holiday seasons!!
