Im going to be leaving my current job in the next few weeks (hopefully)
I want to go to U.S. Airways or one of the other major airliners.
I could honestly tear my co-workers up via the text in this journal, but I am going to skip right to the incident that happened today.
We had the task of cleaning a Airbus320. The aisles, organizing the seat backs, picking up trash, just making the seats look nice. It is a fast paced task that needed to be complete in under 10 minutes. These immature women i work with wanted to play fight instead. I kept to my job though. I was wearing a thick jacket because it was cold outside and the plane must have been 85 degrees or higher. I did 75% of the plane myself when I got dizzy, and passed out on the seats. I layed there for a minute then rested my head on the headrest with my eyes closed trying to settle down and find the strength to stand up. When I stood up, I blanked. Told them to help me. "Stop playing around and help me because I just passed out back here" (not going to include swear words because alot were said)
This is just one example of the immaturity that surrounds me at work. People treat this job like highschool.. and it's not. ITS A JOB. DONT ARGUE WITH YOUR LEAD. DONT RUN OFF TO THE SMOKE ROOM WHENEVER YOU FEEL LIKE IT.
These women were about one or two years older than me and apparently weren't raised right. It's not just them either... the majority of people I work with act the same way. From what I have seen, USAir's employees are fathers, mothers; PEOPLE WHO NEED A JOB TO SURVIVE. I WANT THAT ATMOSPHERE. I want to make something of myself.. and a Cleaning Lead just isn't enough to satisfy.

I also feel like If I have to pull all the weight on a task to the point where I faint... something needs to change.
