I hate whoever started this whole "free update" thing with furry avatars. Its really not fair at all to the creator when they're making a WHOLE NEW AV each time. I will gladly pay for an updated av each time if I like it. I AIN'T EVEN MAD EITHER.

Personally, I'm fine with it, you put all this effort in your AV's and provide great quality AV's under 1K L$, I very much think that you have the right to say that this wont be a free update for all the work you have put into it.

Also, will there be limited edition coats on launch?

Limited edition coats will be launched a little later. Like for other avatars, usually one or 2 weeks after and will be available for 3 weeks

Truthfully, I am glad they are not free updates, you put so much work into them.

I must admit I am a little disappointed as all your others so far have been free updates. However it is understandable given the amount of new parts and textures for you to ask for people to pay. My only question is if you would give a discount to those that have all ready bought the AV before the upgrade?

While I understand and sympathize entirely with the amount of work and time that goes into an avatar, for someone who has placed "Free updates" on their advertizing, at any point, should hold to their word. Those who do not, fall under the category of 'false advertizing'. While I do not know if you ever used such on your vendors, if you have, you do have a legal obligation to uphold to it. You advertized free updates as one of the features of the av, and are obligated to hold to that promise.

That is not to say I dont understand. Please, believe that I do. I do a lot of modding, and I know how very difficult and long that can take, I cant imagine the hours that go into the sculpting/meshing that goes into creating n avatar. And again, I dont know if you have ever listed any of your products with such a promise, as I haven't really looked closely at it. But those who break on such promises given, loose a great deal of respect in my eyes. Not to mention, that you -could- be legally held to it if someone was angry enough to file against you. But it will make me, and others, hesitate before we purchase. That's a big promise to break to those of us who dont have money to spend every time our avatar is updated to current design standards. It's just something to keep in mind.

There is no legal obligation. You are misinformed there. Also no one forces you to buy an av when a new version comes out. You can take your time and save up! ^.^

I suggest to go look at the vendor no where does it state free updates for the avatar. I think you are thinking of another company.

As I stated, I didnt know if they did have it on their vendors or not as a listed feature. I was more saying this to be more of a general statement of this kind of a situation in which a creator says 'no free updates', though the issue was brought up in terms of this company simply because this creator is the one who brought it up.

If they havent made promise to give updates on the old versions, then I fully and wholeheartedly support her in her choice not to make update's free. Its when the promise has been given and is then revoked that I find to be a touch unfair and underhanded.

Its not the fact that I would hesitate to buy it because they dont offer updates, but because they had made a prior promise and revoked it. What assurance do I have that they wont do something similar in the future? It isnt about the free updates. I am not so petty. Its the breaking of trust between consumer and business that would cause me to hesitate to buy.

Perfectly reasonable to expect people to pay for what is pretty much a whole new avatar. I like free updates and all, but when you make the update an entirely different avatar it's understandable to want people to pay for it.

Glad to see you're redoing them. I was ...honestly a little disappointed with them. (no offense, they just seemed rushed,)

Either way, I'll pay for the new one. And I understand the whole "totally new avatar" thing... I was so tempted to charge people for the dragon when I did them, but everyone kept buying them without me needing to pass it, so... yeah. xD

No offense taken, you need to understand the first lion is a very old avatar. It wasn't rushed but I improved since I released it!

Ah, yeah, you really have. :) It shows, it does! I still remember your very first cheetah! ahah... ah. Makes me look back on some of my old ones and just shudder and shove it in a box and sob quietly to myself. xD

Can't say that I hadn't hoped for a free or discounted update, but it's perfectly fine. :)

I don’t has the lion yet. I has the deer, ocelot, cheetah, fennec, polecat, ram, collie, LE deer, bunny, LE collie, LE polecat, civet, wolf, and fox. frankly i love them all and use them in so many ways to make role play characters. I love the avatars for their ease in modding and I has a hud to make facial expressions easy for them (Don’t has HUD for the mesh ones yet). I am still looking forward to scalies of some kind or maybe some armadillos. :3

Oh and speaking of avatars furry or scalie or otherwise, I wonder... Do you plan on releasing any fantasy avatars later on like dragon or unicorn or something?

Your av's have all been awesome! Having to pay for the new lion, especially with all of the work you've been putting into it will be no problem whatsoever!

Like everyone else said above, it takes a long time to make AV's like you've been making, especially dealing with mesh ones. I'm not mad, I just can't wait to see what else you come up with! :D

Oh my goodess please include a Cougar/ Puma/ Mountain Lion color style. :)
