You do realize it's a joke anyway? X3 Besides, this is supposedly based on the Mayan calendar so I'd say the relevant timezone is somewhere in the Americas.

yes, the mayans settled southern mexico. in reality dec. 21 is in a way mayan new year. the new start of the calendar cycle. they calculated when the winter solstice was on the final year of the era, this year, and used that as the last day of this calendar cycle. but if anything will happen it will happen at winter solstice, tomorrow 11:12 AM central time
(im not an expert, this is just my little theory of when something will happen IF anything happens)
