Why not update to the recent version?

I'm guessing Xolroc was using the last pre-microsoft version - I know I was. But for quite a while now the program's been doing skeevy things. Not merely injecting ads everywhere, but hosting all your conversations on a centralized server where you have little control over viewability. To say nothing of the fact the newer layout was bloated and felt poorly spaced and cramped.

Just my two cents, but good riddance to the program.

Yeah, exactly this. Though just as a reminder, I don't go by Xolroc anymore; I'm Felthry.

Latest update, which I had unchecked but installed anyway, keeps acting like It's my first time opening the program. Every time I log in it takes me to the account settings window where I upload an avatar and check my mic sound levels and all that bullshit. And when I quit skype, it asks if I REALLY want to quit, so I click the checkmark to not show the message again and click Yes. But it does it again the next time...

Skype isn't a chat program anymore, it's a data mine. When NO ONE talks to me on skype anymore, I WILL drop it. For the most part, Discord is a WELCOME replacement.

I stopped opening skype anyways.
