What would be a good tablet to use?
I tried G-Pen 560 but it seems to be too amature and simple to be used correctly. And I can't seem to get used to it's sensitivity. I make a small move... the cursor goes WOOOSH. I can't get a sense of scale like I have when I use paper and pencil. So what would be a good choice for a starter tablet? Nothing too fancy, but serious enough to do art? I also stumbled upon the thing called Wacom Inkling, which isn't exactly a typical tablet but more like a scanner that traces the movements of your pen on the paper. This intrigues me, and I would gladly get one of those, but it seems to have accuracy problems. So, my questions would be:
1) What would be a good starter tablet?
2)Have you tried any alterntive variants to a tabler and what are your impressions? Are they worth it.
P.S.
There are these overprices professional tablets that actually work as a display, showing you what you draw. Maaan, those are dreamy gadgets.

I use Wacom tablets pretty much exclusively these days. I tried a bunch of other tablets and tablet like tools and hated pretty much all of them. I currently use an Intuos 4 and love it, but I used to use a bamboo. The reason I upgraded about 2 years ago was because the intuos reads the angle of the pen as well as the pressure, there are some features in photoshop that take advantage of this that I really wanted. Aside from that I've had 3 different versions of the bamboo tablet over the years (one was stolen, another broke, and the last one i gave to my sister when i upgraded to the Intuos) and I liked all three.
I'd actually recommend getting the smallest size available for whatever you get, I found that a larger size table is harder to carry and that I really only used about the same sized area of the tablet. Not to mention there is usually a $100 difference between each size...
P.S. :POKE: Is the living dead wolf thinking of going digital?
For starting out my best recommendation would be http://www.wacom.com/products/pen-t...../bamboo-splash it's small, accurate, and about $80. I think it's also pretty much plug and play for windows 7
Also a side thought. What if we are the only ones left in the internet? And everyone else is just a simulated personality and not a real being?! Creeepy stuff
SOUND THE ALARM!
