Sorry about my absense

An artist with no deadlines is unemployed!
I've been feeling off for the past week. Most of my days I've been sleeping for about 14 hours or more, and I'm constantly tired when I'm not sleeping.
I'm trying to straighten myself out, eat normally, sleep normally, but I'm failing so far. I don't know what it is, other than maybe it's because I'm so fragging hot because my stupid bitch of a landlady keeps the AC off when she's not at home and lies constantly when we complain about it. (every single day when I hear her come home, the AC mysteriously turns on within moments of her walking in the door, yet it didn't activate all day, even during the hottest parts of the day...I WONDER WHY?!)
God damn, we need to move.

there are many tales I could tell. however, it's like 3am. lol, I didn't realize it was so late I was just like "buh, why am I so tired?"
That situation sucks! Didn't you take the former owner to court??
Lucky for us we spoke with her several times and agreed to extend the original rental contract for as long as we wanted. She's been very understanding about rent, though (that is, paycheques enjoy coming on the 2nd or 3rd of the month so she lets us pay partial on the first, the rest within a few days), so the 8am wakeups are a small price to pay.
Still, no heat in the winter and no AC in the summer is very wearing, on top of this being a basement apartment, so no sunlight really gets in, so it's artificial lighting all day (not to mention the ceiling is only about 7 feet off the ground). It's really no wonder my depression hit an all time freakfest in here.
So yes, I really need to move. XP We're looking at a few places, just waiting for my fiance's tax return to come in first.
I had to experience this situation only because I went to study in another country (at 19 years of age), and I had a row with my parents (and not only!) about living on my own, or at least with other students; they had the illusion that I wasn't ready to take care of myself. They were wrong, and in fact I did spend a few months as a tenant (with a family, gah) and it was one of the worst experiences of my life! The fact that I didn't "keep up with the Jones'" had a significant contribution to this mess...
While you are still there, you could use a fan if you feel hot (there should be some nice slim and cheap ones), and maybe you could leave the main entrance key outside (or under) your door at night.
But the rent was supercheap, and I had no where else to go. When I left, he locked my door before I had the room clean TWICE. He was so angry I was possibly going to dent the walls with my furniture, he hung around like a non-helpful vulture, complaining about everything - I was so nervous about getting the hell out and fast that I left behind my microwave. >>;; I was too scared to come back up a third time, especially by myself.
So yes, after THAT nonsense, I was not really enthused about living with another landlord.
You could have bought a used caravan with the amount of your annual rent!
