I would have Thad get trapped inside his own stories and have to find a way to escape them and return to the real world... Just because it would seem like an interesting premise.

this reminds me of Allen Wake. if I did one and I've tried going out of my comfort zone of story telling it might be a down on his luck and the world hates him along with everyone turning against you. In the end all you have is your self and no one gives a damn about you anymore as you end up alone living on the street. just an idea

but basically you play the old wiseman/hermit character who finds my flattened as after a battle. You being a tinkerer of sorts who prefers the company of his inventions to that of other people
