Think of it this way, FA is the halfway house between the weirdness that is IB, the smaller community that is SF and the general storage that is VCL.

Ok an easier summary, FA lets most everything go as far as artwork is concerned as long as it doesn't violate laws in the countries their servers are in.

The artwork ranges from everywhere from border photo realism drool-gasm inducing amazing to "The hell is this chicken scratch?"

The people on here, the artists at least also run the gambit of personalities from the work obsessed art-churn factory for cash to the extremely mentally unstable.

The commissioners range from reliable, pleasant and easy to work with to high maintenance "I am entitled to you doing exactly what I want even if it is an art trade for fun" sorts.

So in general, it's a lot like playing roulette. Can be fun, can also be a gigantic pain in the proverbial tail.

Just keep your head above the water and set down your general rules of thumb first, will save you a universe of problems in the long run.

Considering you are an artist, probably best to specify the things you're willing/not willing to do. Ie Clean/Adult and if Adult isn't a worry, fetishes you'll not touch with a 50 foot pole with dynamite attached.

Pricing guides are also not a terrible idea as people tend to veer away from forum style filing like reason tends to avoid politics. Drama may happen anyway, tends to happen wherever you have a large concentration of artistic folk.
