Whoa! No wonder most restorations are done by old guys with money to burn. I hope that's only a pipe dream part and not a necessity. I know of some awesome scrap yards. They have stuff, things, and do-hickeys in plentiful quantity.

That is an upgrade part, and not necessary for my car. It is just a pipe dream. Parts on old cars can be quite expensive though.. Some examples of things for my car..

Fuel Injectors.. If I can can find a set, and that is a big IF round around $500 for 4 of them.

Rocker Panel Trim is a piece of stainless steel that runs from wheel to wheel at the bottom of the car, just under the door opening and both mine are not there (I may have them in among other parts for the car but I never saw them). If I can find a nice set they are about $600

Lets say I wanted to replace the trunk lid instead of just fixing the holes in it myself, one at a wrecking yard if they had one would cost in the region of $900

Restoring cars is not a cheap game, but it is rewarding. I am hoping to never have to buy any of these parts, but they are things to watch out for.

Congratulations my friend. Do keep up the good work. Out of curiosity, how far will this weight loss continue to go due to the surgery, if you mind me asking? Its weird having to re-recognize you every time I see you. The last few times weve met there's been this momentary "Oh crap that's Prpl and I didn't even recognize him!" moment. X-D

I may lose about another 30lbs at MOST but I am already starting to notice some leveling off of weight loss. It is bound to happen though and was something I was warned about.

A lot of people have had that reaction it seems, with most barely recognizing me. My old boss of 6 years didn't recognize me at first when I stopped by for a visit the other day. He nearly jumped out of his skin when he realized who it was.

I kinda figured there would be a levelling off, just wasn't sure if it was a specific known "you'll lose this much" or "you'll level off eventually" thing. I was curious. Interesting never the less! ^.^

I know it ahd only been a month or two since I saw you last at the FE Christmas party and I didn't recognize you for a second. I had to do a double take. I think my brain is finally getting around it now though. You do look great though! Especially if you're happier, which is the important part. :)
