I would argue that is just the nature of humanity, I mean like all of it being assholes. But as you note, there are good ones to that are your friends. Look to those and not the majority of the internet. For the internet is full of stupid.

But I know what you mean, that's why I try to stay away from requests now. I personally believe that if you're writing or drawing someone something free of a charge, and more or less, out of the kindness of your heart, than they should be a little more patient, a little less rude, and a little less demanding of you. Alas I have had that happen several times and I said screw it, I don't think I'll be doing requests anymore, if not ever. I'll write what I want, when I want....

I hope that doesn't make me sound like an asshole @_@ that's not the intention whatsoever.....

It's not the people seeking requests, it's people responding to my comments in nasty ways or critiquing me in rude ways.

Ah. I got a few critics that I simply ignore now.
There was this one guy who always had something rude/ignorant/put downish things to say to me so I just grin and bear it.

I'll take critique don't get me wrong, but if there's always something wrong about my works than it might be that person more so than my writing. Anyways I'm sorry you're getting bullied around here and whatnot, it's not cool whatsoever. If you need a friend to talk I'm here, I know we haven't chatted in a while but I'm always hear to lend an ear whenever anyone is in need of ranting, conversing, crying, talking etc.

People think that just because they post certain comments and what-not online they don't have to deal with the consequences so they'll say just about anything, but they don't realize that they can trouble or deeply hurt another's feelings. I hate people like that with a passion.

I recently had an individual who gave a very stuck up comment on Sofurry. I feel that if someone finds something wrong with my work, they can find a decent, polite way to say it. I'll gladly fix the problem.

That's my belief exactly. If they're rude about it I simply don't bother even listening to what they have to say.
