The Shop, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Dil
17 years ago
Ok, so some of you who spoke to me over the summer knew that I faced a bit of a dilemma. There's this really great sex shop in the city I was staying in, but as I'm not out of the closet, I had trepidation about going in.
I went there on 3 separate days and just walked by. I had every intention of going in, but couldn't.
On that fourth day, I walked by it 7 times until I finally had the nerve to actually go in.....
But, go in I did. I know it's silly, I know that I should have just went in the first time and proudly asked the guy behind the counter for something to stick up my tailhole....but I was nervous and I'd never spoken to anyone IRL about my sexual desires. (I'm a virgin, to confirm the speculation).
I rather liked it - so much that I later went a second time - this time, I went in without a second thought.
What's the point of this whole story? Well, I learned a lot of things...
1) Things are almost never as bad as you think they will be. In fact, most times, taking a good risk pays off well.
2) Be bold and do what you want the first time. It's actually much less risky than halfway doing it 20 times.
3) The furry community is VERY supportive and knowledgeable about almost ANYTHING. The help and support that I got from my friends was really touching. (If you're reading this and I chatted with you about it, THANK YOU!)
4) Vibrators are fun. ;)
Oh, and by the way...If you were playing my snuff writing game and are still interested, send me a PM. If there are enough people we may start it back up again.

TOO TRUE. It irks me to no end to see so many people these days who think that safety is anything more than an eternally-unattainable concept. Virtually every time I've taken a leap at something I wanted, it's turned out better than I ever expected. Anthrocon was a good example.
One was cool, the other much less so. Seeing some of the interesting people that go through there is a good life experience, and there's never a shortage of laughs from the merchandise. The problem with the second one I worked at was that they had jerk-off video booths, which just kinda freaked me out from a cleanliness/germ/icky crudlies standpoint.
Best. Sounding. Sex toy. Ever.
