Dead Artists and Weird Stuff
I've been reading that I should have some dead artist-types to sort of look to for inspiration, but I'm having a lot of trouble finding anyone that I really like. All of the big names (Monet, Vermeer, Dali, Escher etc) are well and good, but I don't really get anything out if their work. So, any suggestions for lesser-known artists would be very much appreciated. As a quick note, I saw Lovis Corinth's work for the first time tonight, and more stuff like that would be great!!
That aside, it seems like my gallery is rapidly filling up with tame and cute stuff, which is enjoyable enough, but not really what I'm here for. I've got plans for greater things. So... One more clean submission from me, and then I'm going to get down to business painting skeleton-ghosts boning monsters, blood-drawing biting, and creatures made completely out of hands, teeth, and dicks.
Because I want to make some weird, violent porn, dangit!!

I've enjoyed getting a slow-growing peek at your sensibility and what, exactly, you're up to, here. Creatures made out of hands would be a fantastic addition to the fletch_beast canon, I THINK.
"Fletch_beast canon" makes it all sound so planned!! There is no story, or special universe, or anything like that. Just things that I like. :)
Oh, and Egon Schiele did some fun stuff with line and skinny people.
I actually remember seeing Schiele's work back in high school! I had completely forgotten about him, though, so thanks!
This is probably the best online gallery of his work - http://beksinski.dmochowskigallery......ast.php?lang=e
Another great Polish artist is Stanislaw Szukalski - http://varnishfineart.com/Exhibit_D.....fm?ShowsID=122
But I don't know if this is the kinda art you're looking for.
As far as older stuff along the lines of Corinth, well... some of my favorites are Alphonse Mucha, J.W. Waterhouse, John Singer Sargent, Gustav Klimt, Dean Cornwell, Thomas Eakins, Ilya Repin, Frank Brangwyn, J.C. Leyendecker, Arkhip Kuindzhi, Franklin Booth, and the list goes on (:
