Highlights
--The ADP was fun, even though drunken hecklers are one of my least favorite things in the world, and I was sitting really close to a particularly obnoxious one. Seriously though, people, we need some more lady dragons in this panel!
--Thabi presented in the ADP, and had a piece involving Slither. When she was a little coy about the character's name, a couple of people in the audience called out "Slither!" It wasn't like the whole room shouted my name or anything, but it was still a really cool moment. Plus, Kiteless took a moment to ask if I was in the audience and point me out. What a neat little bonus!
--Seeing the reactions of normal people on encountering the furry crowd for the first time. One moment in particular involved a man in a business suit who walked into the Marriott with his head down, fiddling with some luggage, and who stopped absolutely dead in his tracks to stand there slack-jawed.
--Reflecting on the unusual trip had by the swarm of girls there for some kind of volleyball tournament. It was neat to see some having their picture taken with the fursuiters, though.
--Hanging with Fossil was great. That is one classy dude, you guys.
--Watching Thabi get her first tattoo ever from Fossil, who had set up a miniature studio in his hotel room.
--A small handful of people recognized me from my badge. It's always pretty surreal when that happens!
I'm sure I've left out so many people and experiences, and I'm sorry to everyone who has slipped my mind. This is the tradeoff for not annoying everybody with daily progress report journals, I guess. ^_~
All in all, FC 2013 was a really fun experience. It was my second time attending any con, and I'm looking forward to not making it the last.
I have sooooo much art to get scanned and shared with you guys. My gosh, this is going to be a bit of a chore!

FA+

lol poor businessman he just stepped into a nightmare. XD
He pretty much did! It was on Thursday night, too, so everybody was swarming the lobby in their suits.
Speaking of normals, on my way to lunch Sunday, a couple of teenage boys ended up asking me where they could get a tail. They were only vaguely aware of what furries were but had no idea that there was a con in their city!
I don't think I'm open enough about the whole thing to have a frank, friendly discussion with someone who wasn't in the fandom. That's pretty impressive. o_o
As for being open: I'm shy as all hell, but in a situation where someone actually wants to hear what I have to say about a subject that I enjoy, I'll go on for hours. I don't have to worry about who the person is or what they think, I'll never see them again.
Well I'm sure you got some awesome arts of your other characters :3
There wasn't much of a smell, but there certainly was quite a bit of heckling, which I didn't approve of at all. Most of it was of the "look at me" variety than anything mean-spirited, but I really could have done without it, all the same.
