Hagger Benely VERSUS Zirie Darksteel
Sarlyn Beoluve VERSUS Sayuri Dawnweaver
~*~The Fight~*~
A crystal clear television screen flickered on as the cameras zoomed in. A Female
announcer squeaked in excitement as the cameras detected a skirmish.
"This is it! First blood!! It looks like Hagger has singled out Zirie!"
Shifting into his half form Hagger swiped at Zirie. With great agility the thief rolled
out of the way towards a dagger. Hagger growled and started to circle Zirie.
"I'm sorry handsome, but I will not die today. You are strong, for a human, and that's
why you're first."
Lunging for Zirie again Hagger swung his mighty paw, barely missing the second
time.
"I refuse to die, not to you! Not ever!!"
Slashing at Hagger's paw Zirie rolled behind Hagger, just out of range and crouched low. Holding his dagger in a defensive icepick hold Zirie waited for Hagger to make
the next move.
Meanwhile in one of the many viewing areas the announcer piped up again for the audience.
"Remember Ladies and Gentleman, Zirie has some bad odds in this fight! Were-bears have an exceptionally fast healing. The only way he can kill Hagger is to behead him or incapacitate his brain! This should be an exciting fight!"
The two strong willed men squared off, ignoring the commotion around them. Brandishing his dagger Zirie made a hand gesture taunting Hagger. The were-bear roared as he rushed towards the rogue full speed. Using his powerful legs he jumped high and landed on the smaller human.
"Fuck! Get off of me!"
Zirie flailed as he fell to the ground hard beneath the were-bears weight. Using his mighty paw Hagger swatted the weapon away from his prey. Desperately Zirie fought to get out from beneath his hulking assailant.
"I'm stronger human, just accept your death with dignity!"
Snarling Hagger bent down and bit Zirie's shoulder hard penetrating his flesh, spraying blood across the ground.
"Ah fuck!!"
Zirie struggled and began punching the ursine face with all his might. Barely noticing Hagger pulled hard and dislocated Zirie's shoulder before he released the rogue from his vice like maw.
"Sorry handsome, like I said you're too much for me to handle later."
Raising up to bury both claws into the human Hagger growled angrily at himself as Zirie scooted away towards his dagger. Just as Zirie reached his weapon the were-bear was on top of him again. Using his good arm Zirie stabbed Hagger in the throat
"I'll take you out with me!"
The serrated blade became lodged in Hagger's muscle and escaped Zirie's grip as Hagger jerked. Roaring in pain and now anger, Hagger swiped hard and striked Zirie in the throat, slashing his artery. Coughing loudly Zirie grasped his neck as the last moments of his life escaped him.
"Batavia... I... I love you..."
Zirie hacked hard several times and fell silent on the arena floor, lifeless. Hagger stood over his kill and roared in victory. He growled to himself. as he looked around for another kill.
"Only twenty-two others in my way now..."
The announcer swooned as she relayed the blow-by-blow of Hagger's victory.
"That's how it's done ladies and gentleman! What an amazing fight!"

As the cameras moved about Hagger and Zirie the screens for the audience split
and another set of cameras focused on another skirmish and the announcer
excitedly yelled into her microphone.
"Oh my goodness!!! One of our weaker combatants is actually going for first blood!
It's Sarlyn! She thinks she has a chance against Sayuri!!"
Screaming loudly Sarlyn ran full speed at the human Priestess. Still stunned from the situation Sayuri turned just in time to to face Sarlyn and be tackled.
"Ow! Get off of me! You're not a killer!!"
Sayuri fought to gain leverage to get out from under the Kaja.
"I have to be! I don't want to die here! You're just in my way first!!"
Sarlyn wrapped her delicate fingers around Sayuri's throat and began squeezing.
"Just die!!"
Sayuri's eyes widened as she realized the Kaja truly meant to kill her. With desperation the Priestess punched Sarlyn in the throat. Gasping Sarlyn let go and Sayuri rolled out from under her.
"Please! Just run, I don't want to kill you if I don't have to!"
Sayuri's face grew stern and her voice cold as a golden light covered her hands.
"But I will not hesitate if you push me, it's your choice..."
Sayuri stood back from Sarlyn and waited for her to make her choice.
The loud clamoring of people screaming bets and cheers filled the halls of the viewing areas. Brief silence fell across the room as the announcer chimed in again.
"Ladies and Gentleman! Please bet carefully! Despite her rush against Sayuri, Sarlyn has poor odds! The Priestess has no need for physical weapons, she uses magic. However Kaja have blood that can heal most wounds so she isn't completely out!"
Sarlyn reached for the spear at her feet and rushed Sayuri yelling.
"No! It's now or never!!!"
The Kaja swung her weapon with a touch of uncertainty at Sayuri. With a little grace the Priestess sidestepped the strike and let loose her magic.
"Light, Protect me!"
A blast of light exploded against Sarlyn's chest knocking her back. Readying herself Sayuri moved her wrists in a fluid motion bringing another explosion of light at Sarlyn.
"Gah! Damn it!"
The singer dropped the spear and began slapping her jacket trying to extinguish the flames dancing about her body, trying to engulf her.
"I gave you the choice, I'm sorry..."
Sayuri flicked her wrist again, this time causing a bolt of light to impact against her midsection, spreading more flames.
"S-son of a bitch!"
Sarlyn cried out and ran at the human. In an act of desperation she went to tackle Sayuri again, but this time making sure her horn met flesh. Tripping over her own feet Sarlyn fell towards Sayuri instead of truly tackling. Unable to react quick enough for the erratic movements Sayuri moved just wrong enough and caught the Kaja's sharp horn in her upper thigh.
"Ah! Damn, get off!"
With a touch of savagery the Priestess shoved Sarlyn off and rose both hands above her head.
"This ends! Now die..."
Bringing both hands down with a swing the singer burst into white flames.
"Gah-Ach...!!"
The singer shrieked as flames escaped her mouth and she began to burn her from the inside. With tears streaming down her face Sayuri Turned and limped off as quickly as possible grabbing a small satchel of supplies.
The announcer's voice crackles across the speakers.
"You saw it ladies and gentleman! Sayuri has drawn first blood! If you bet she'd do it congratulations!! Oh Look Another fight!!"
