FC went well. It is definitely a different flavour than it used to be, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. The past few years I've suited less and less but I think that's just a 'getting old' thing haha.

I know I said it last year but I LOVE the convention center. For the size that the con is now, it is just such a perfect gathering space and the dealers are not all stacked on top of each other and the fursuit lounge opening onto the balcony makes me happy every time I go in there.
Unfortunately, FC is getting 'big'. This bums me out since it's turning into what I hate about AC (and why I will never go back to AC). However, it's not gone yet and a lot of the elevator issues were sorted out quite well by the end of the con.
I really wanted to hit up the 'men in suits' screening but on both days it was just at SUCH a sucky time :( Why can't there be more programming earlier in the day? It's like the mornings are very sedate and then it hits 5pm and suddenly everything-happens-all-at-once!!
--
The only programming I think that actively disappointed me was the masquerade. We watched it on Livestream (real happy that was set up!) and just ..bleh. It was rushed, seemed to not be properly respectful to the people who just gave over 6 hours of their day to perform in it, and we couldn't even figure out who were the winners at the end and why. Someone needs to take a strong hand to it next year to build it back up into what it's been in the past. Do what FC:U has been doing and give out some real prizes to the folks who deserve it. As is, I have to say I see no incentive to bother attending next year, let alone perform.

Speaking of FC:U, I am very pleased with what has been done to this show since the sudden split from FNL a few years ago. I found it extremely entertaining and pretty much back up to the standards I expect as far as programming and talent goes. I admit there are less multi-person stage shows now but I've hardly been contributing to that so I'm not going to complain. And the videos folks are making now are really top-notch and funny.
And of course speaking of that, we (Beetlecat Originals) managed to snag first place with our own video! Which I have uploaded so you don't have to scroll through the FCU livestream to watch.

I was honestly blown away as after watching the whole show myself, I was kind of expecting a 3rd place or hopefully audience choice. So yeah! Very very happy about that :D The prize money paid for our celebration dinner that night and what was left over about pays for how much booze Far drank making the video ;) The awesome-looking trophy will be hung in my new workroom once the move is finished and it's set up (I'll have to get a photo!)

So yeah that about covers FC 2013. I suited around in Beetle and Nipper (if you took pics, let me know!) and danced at the con dances as well as Frolic. I received a lot of compliments on my fursuit's dress which makes me feel good for the amount of time I spent embellishing it and how little she wears it XD I am bummed that I missed seeing the party floor this year (when I tried Saturday night it was already mostly shut down) but there's always next year!

FA+

Sorry I missed you, my girl and I were not there very long since we came all the way down from Grass Valley. For some reason it seemed very bleak to me or maybe it was just the timing? Most furries come out at night, am I right? LOL
Maybe you can convince another con to do a showing. It was really interesting.
I freaked out a little during your video: OMG that's nice looking fur!... So much wasted T_T I'm glad you guys won. Your video was hilarious. I think makers especially appreciated it, "To those who say fursuit makers aren't worth the time they are... seriously $#@% you." >_<
It was an awesome video and I was very happy that it won. Putting Matt in your suit was a stroke of brilliance! Too bad about the boat ride the next day >_<
We are considering doing a 'commentary' version where Far explains his thoughts and feelings while making the video and what happened after XD
Yeah! That comment got a LOT more cheers than I was expecting actually! I thought it might be a bit dunno.. too self-serving lol and people might be angry at me XD I worry too much.
It's easy to forget when a maker just whips up an amazing suit that they spent a lot of time and money on it.
"Um..."
"That's not supposed to be cut."
"No"
"$#%$! @$#!$# $#!$#$#. Gimme my booze."

Awesome video!
Fantastic levels of amazing.
P.S. I made these from what I learned there, hope I did it right! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9753947/
"And the pin goes through...and the pin goes through...and the pin goes....AAAARRUGUHGH! I stuck myself with the pin &%$"
I have done that so many times while being sober.
