FC in Review - 2013
FC has been a con I've only gone to once, and that was back in 07. Last time I went it was a pretty sub par experience. I was going through some real life issues and I think that helped to dampen the same euphoria I got from AC back in 06, so I was not really looking forward to FC.
FC was really a con of no real planning or preparation unlike a bit of RF, AC, and MFF. I didn't bring my suit (it's being repaired), and I wasn't planning on entering any dance related stuff, so it was actually really relaxing to just go at my own pace, relax, hit up stuff or panels that intrigued me, and most importantly socialize with people.
Socializing
I ran into (as I do with a lot of cons like AC), and we got to hang out a lot, great fun, and he introduced me to two other people who I ended up hanging out with a lot during the weekend.
I met via Furgeta, she was a lot of fun to hang with. I have to admit that the con was ranked up a notch or two thanks to meeting her.
Met him with Arcais, another great guy who helped make it a very fun vacation. It's boring if you always feel safe around friends, amirite?
All you guys from Vancouver, it was great getting to see, and hang out with you. Specifically the inclusion or invitation to stuff like the dance, you may not know, but you made me feel very welcomed, and that turned what was a con of not knowing anyone into a very much needed vacation.
Lastly, but not least,
is a good friend I met earlier this year that I got to hang out with, and room with. First time getting to meet him in person, and we got to hang out for most of the con.
There are a few more that I think I may be forgetting, but everyone who was there, everyone who I talked to helped turn this from what could have been a forgettable con to a very good con for me. Thank you guys.
Dancing
Keeping in the spirit of things of any particular interest to me, my fursuit was still in need of repairs so I did not bring it, and did not enter the dance comp, even though I wanted too. I got to watch it though, amazing performance by everyone, there was no real boring parts or anyone who I don't think deserved to be in it. Very cool to get to see people getting better over time as well :)
Lastly... I went to the dances, not as long or as much as I would have liked, but the brief moments of dance, dancing lights, and great sets performed by favourites like

carried through the weekend~

FA+

...personally I think Red Pandas should have some sort of international holiday.
