Far as stuff to do there are some nice museums. The frick house http://www.thefrickpittsburgh.org/index.php Natural history/art musem http://www.carnegiemnh.org/ Art musem which is basically connected to the history musem http://web.cmoa.org/ There's also the Warhol http://www.warhol.org/ A lovely conservatory http://phipps.conservatory.org/ Not to mention tons of public parks. Ahhh so many good resturants too.
I don't even know.
What do you guys like doing? c:
Pretty much everything except night-clubs and bars XD
My favorite Indian food place http://www.allmenus.com/pa/pittsbur.....staurant/menu/ I always try to catch the buffet or else it's kinda pricey.
Fat head's isn't super local but also good food. Kinda like high end american food. http://www.fatheads.com/
Pamela's kitchen is my favorite place for breakfast foods.

Fully vegetarian and vegan food. Love their Thai tea.

Every once in a while there's Gallery crawls. You basically can go all over the cultural district during the gallery crawls and all art gallery's doors are open for free. Um here's the schedule for this years crawls http://www.trustarts.org/education/.....mmunity/crawl/
There's also other programs and activities on that trustarts website that you should look at.
Two theaters that show indie films.

There's probably so much other stuff I'm forgetting. There's cool festivals and stuff on and off. Arts Festival in the summer. A greek food festival. Tons of farmer markets. A lot of people complain that there's nothing to do in Pittsburgh, you just kinda have to look for it I think. I suggest picking up a city paper every once in a while to flip through.
Sorry about all the links! Just thought it'd easier if you could see and check stuff out rather then just listen to me blab about it.
Hokkaido over on the Waterfront is amazing for their insanely cheap and delicious buffet. I have to go there every once in a while and refuel on sushi! There's also a Dave & Buster's in the Waterfront.
There's also like...a million and one amazing Italian restaurants too. Big Jim's, Nadine's, The Spaghetti Warehouse, Carino's, etc.
Fun Fore All up in Cranberry has a great upkept arcade and a nice mini-golf course, and FunFest out in Harmarville is my favorite bowling haunt. Their daily specials are pretty good, and the food is decent too.
All in all, welcome to the area! If there's anything you wanna ask, ask away! I'm originally from Los Angeles, but I've been living out here in Pittsburgh for a while. My desire for things to do and weird foods to eat (especially on the cheap) has led me to some nice gems in the area.
(Oh and of course there's Primanti's. Mmm, delicious Primanti's.)
