That some people REALLY need to learn the difference between someone who's "creepy" and someone who's just plain giving a compliment.
Now, this hasn't happened to me (which surprises the heck out of me, considering some of my comments xD) but I've seen someone compliment either a character or the actual work itself in a picture, only to be shouted at for "Totally trying to get in my pants/get free art". I mean, seriously people. Are you that far up your arse that you feel EVERYONE wants a piece?
Christ, take a compliment.
If your character has massive tits, and you get a picture of that character flaunting her massive tits, EXPECT people to mention them. Sure, don't accept those who write about how much they wanna fuck them, but don't ridicule those who simply say nice things about you! We're not ALL in the same freaking boat here. If you get smut of your character all the time, people are generally going to start thinking that you want that sort of comment (Again, to use myself as an example, I don't care if you write how much X has gotten you aroused. It amuses me!).
It annoys me when someone who's fairly popular (Read: FANBOYS AHOY) posts a journal about how one guy RUINED their entire hard work because of a slightly smutty comment on a picture which involves an orgy of herms all covered in their own excrement (Probably exists).
There are so many two-faced attitudes around here. So damn many.

angel1992 and myself are going to Thailand for two weeks this Friday! So don't expect to hear from either of us much during that time xD Got a wedding to attend! Woo~!

XD Yeah. It happens. I like compliments but I'd never freak out just cause someone gives me one. I do get a bit irked when people actually ask for free art. But otherwise compliments go.

i dont freak out about people complimenting my art, i love it ^_^
though i keep my guard up a little at first when its one of those obvious "i'm only commenting to get free art" comments
Or best yet, their 'mate' jumps in and threatens to kill you.

Sounds dangerously close to the rapist logic of "If you wear a short skirt, EXPECT people to catcall you." Because it's up to the artist or the skirt-wearer, am I right?

Mixed messages. Most of what you would seem to consider "nice things" I would consider lascivious comments about how the speaker would like to fuck me and/or my character.

That is SO fucking rapey. It's alright if somebody spams your page with comments that are disgusting and unwanted! You gave them the impression that you want those remarks, so it's your fault! Do you see the problem with this logic? Where it leads?

You are not everyone. Most people get pretty skeeved out when they recieve an unwanted comment.
It's great if it doesn't bother you, but some people deal with creepy remarks enough in real life, it's nice to not have to worry about it online. And your opinion about how we must "want" it and should "expect" it if we draw a character with big breasts is disgusting.
I feel my point stands, when on an on-line community, you can expect that at least SOMEONE will say something which is ultimately creepy/off-putting due to the hidden identity of the person. Just because one person out of X amount of people says something that is classed as this however, doesn't give someone the justification to put everyone and anyone who says a nice word about the subject matter in the same boat. In your example, that's like putting a committed rapist in the same group as someone who quietly complimented a girl.
But alas, I'm way too tired to discuss my opinion further. I apologise if it's of concern to you, but that's how I simply feel.
