Donation streams? Pay what you can streams??

I'm thinking of doing sketch streams, where I do peoples characters.
Now I don't know which I should do, donation streams or "pay what you can".
The quality of art for "pay what you can" streams would probably be higher, since I'm actually getting paid for each individual image. And depending on how much they pay the better the image will be.
But at the same time I kinda like just doodlin for folks and if some one feels generous and tosses in a few bucks I'd appreciate it.
What do you guys think??

I love doing it for free because it really removes that kind of edge you have when doing commissions. it doesn't really have to be perfect and you can do your own thing or take on their character, which a lot of people seem to like.
