I had the absolute stupidest experience today.
I forgot the customers cheese sticks... normally this wouldn't be much of a problem, but several other minor inconvenieces happened all at the same time creating a perfect storm scenario.

1: I forgot the customers cheese sticks,
2: they tried to pay via check,
3: when I called the store to authorize there credit card they asked if they could get the cheese sticks for free,
4: my manager agreed to free up the cheese sticks and then hung up before quoting the new price and taking the credit card info,
5: I go back to the store and am told they don't have money and I need to retrieve the pizza I left with them,
6: I return and they were uninformed about the need to return the pizza, and were told that the order is now free,
7: I find out that the coworker the customer spoke with was talking on two phones at once, and that is how the miscommunication came about.

To bad there isn't a Nobel prize in stupid cuz that'd be a winner right there. Though I'm not sure if it should go to the manager, the girl on two phones, or me for actually working with these idiots. x.x
