My surgery is set for next Friday the 15th. I have a closed fracture of the scaphoid bone of wrist. They will be installing a screw in the bone and likely taking a bone graft from another bone in my wrist. Sounds like they will be using a local anesthetic instead of a general one. It should only take a few hours in the afternoon, and I will be off work for at least a week.
I hate needles.
