New type of phone Scam?

Got a phone call at work from some Indian guy claiming that files and folders are corrupting our computers as we use the internet. Lulz! He even asked for Jesse James! The idiot was trying to sell ME antispyware software! Not surprising as the average person has no idea how browsers work or have measures in place against bugs. That guy was not expecting a pro!

They assume that everyone is an idiot. I'm not even that old an I know how to install stuff my parents would look at and say "WTF is this?" I know the difference between a browser (I use Google Chrome) and an OS (I have windows 8) Haven't had the guy your talking about call, but I know more than they know.
