Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Alright so aside from being a huge Halo nerd, I'm also a cult follower of the Star Wars universe. I was very excited to hear a new movie went into production about half a year ago, and even more interested when I heard it was a take off of the Clone War series that was shown on Cartoon Network awhile back.
I counted down the days, and grew ever so excited; the trailers only made me more eager. As of yesterday I finally got to end my wait and see the next installment. I have never been let down so much Lucas.
I'm not going to say the movie absolutely sucked, but it wasn't anywhere near great. I will say that I would see this movie over Jar Jar's annoying fucking dialog any day, but still The Clone Wars isn't much better than the Episode 1.
I believe why this movie failed to deliver can be found in three flaws. The first flaw is bad dialog. Did Lucas higher a 12 year old to write the script? The second flaw is the characters being totally different from their personalities in the prior films. Yes I know Anikan doesn't fully embrace the dark side of the Force till episode three; after this. It doesn't excuse the fact that he acts nothing like he did in episode two; before this new film. The final flaw is a *spoiler*. Please advert your eyes to my next paragraph if you don't wish to read on. The movie is nothing more than a movie drawn out pilot for a CGI series premiering later this year. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_W.....s:_Clone_Wars_(TV_Series)
As bad as disappointing as this film was, it doesn't fail to deliver to the younger audience; the age group it was made for. Another reason I can't be to upset, this film was for the kido`s. During the movie all the children seemed to be pleased with the action, humor, and cheesy lines. Lucas you get an A for that.
If your a Star Wars fan I still advise you see this movie. There are some vital assets that are just too cool to even be a let down I'll admit. Asajj Ventress's actor is very well casted to voice the Dark Jedi. Ventress is also never has any cheesy dialog. I wish I could say Obi-wan has no cheesy lines, unfortunately all his lines are, but his character does give us a pretty cool Lightsaber duel with Ventress. All in all this is what happened, the untold story of the Clone Wars, and is how the Lucas wanted it. I respect that; let down or not.
I give Star War: the Clone Wars a 4.5 out of 10.
EDIT: I'm not saying I hated the film. No. I was disappointed, but I do not hate it. I have a high respect for the film, its creators, and anyone who works with CGI. I'm a Star Wars fan, and will always support anything with the tittle. I love the characters and will accept the story. Again, I do not hate the film.

I know the dialouge was cheesy, and that it was aimed at a younger audience, but I liked it. I'd go and see it again.
But maybe that's 'cause I'm an action junkie. And you have to admit, the whole movie was almost pure action.
And poor Obi was always behind Anakin, cleaning up his mess.
I do wish that they had left Padme out of the film. She annoys me as much as Jar Jar.
I liked the 3D style too. All the models looked sculpted.
Do you play any RPG's? like D&D or that kinda thing?
