I don't even know what I'm supposed to be doing, but if anyone has any suggestions, I would LOVE to hear them. Thank you everybody! Let me know how I can help.

All there really is to do here is post art, and post journals of whatever you wanna talk about! Just keep in mind that other people don't get notified if someone posts a shout on your page.

Main things to know how to do is to learn how to submit things. You can share your artwork, photography, and anything else you make, like writing and music, and you can leave a message from yourself underneath it in the artist comments! can tell people about it, could post song lyrics, could ask for critique, or whatever you want to put there! As Kavi described, you can favorite things you like that others made and it kinda stores them in a folder like your gallery, but instead it's a gallery of all the things you liked!
You can send people private messages by visiting their profile and clicking the note tab right above their name, or you can manually do it by mousing over my FA and clicking Notes and entering their username. Some people don't like the notes system and elect to not receive notes. You can also leave quick public messages on their profile, similar to a Facebook wall post. Just scroll all the way to the bottom and leave a shout! Good for thanking people for liking your art or commenting that you like all of their stuff, or think they're a cool cat!
You can also post journals, like what you've done here. You can write anything you want!
FA is a furry art site, but in the end, it's essentially a furry Facebook. Most furries have an FA account, even if they are fairly inactive. If you want to spruce up things around here, you'll have to use something called BBCode. Here's a quick link that can help get you started http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBCode You can do some quick googling to find out even more, and bring in colors and other fun things.
One thing to note, as CharryZarry did - if you don't hit reply to comments, no one will be notified of your reply. You'll see in the bottom right corner of my comment box there's a reply to post link - if you don't do that when replying to me, I'd never know if you did or didn't unless I kept checking back. If you want to reply to a shout, you need to go shout on their page or send them a note!
