My Thoughts about Valentine's Day

Thank you, holiday, for making me feel miserable. Mostly because everybody on my contacts lists go offline on me for various reasons.
Just WHY is that? *forced smile*
Also, some people may like this day because they like to spend time with their significant others. Whoop-dee-doo. You can do that ANY day. See, this is why I love Christmas more. People care about and give gifts to EVERYBODY, instead of just one person. And I'm pretty sure you can buy chocolates for your date at just about any gift store on any day of the year.

PS: That cupid shit never should've been brought into it. It should've stayed behind in Romeo and Juliet.

It's made even worse when a relative decides to give you a valentine's card. You just know it's out of pity.
I don't know whether to be more irritated by it than humiliated. (It's a close running.)
I don't see why we need one day of the year dedicated to romance. I agree: You can do it any time of the year. And if you need a fucking calender to tell you when to tell someone how you really feel about them, then you're a fucking lazy bastard and need to be beaten senseless.
