So A new suit under way.
So I need to decide, the tailor I am looking at does not want to do my suit with the blue mohawk, They want ta just just a poof of hair at the top.
So my question is, do I just go with a fluff or do I look else where for some one who will? Is 2900 to much to pay for a suit that is two colors and no special markings?

Aside from the whole 'the price of art is in the minds eye' philosophical rant. It comes right down to personal taste. If you feel that suitor can design your character to make it look like what is envisioned in your head based on referencing their prior works then the question is already answered for you.
$2,900 can attribute to other factors like a contractual obligation to meet their ETA's or else penalty fees in the terms of refunds occur. Sometimes sur-charges incur if an ETA specified is under 1 year espechally if the suitor designer is backloged. Does the suit have an all inclusive package where you effectively don't have to buy anything extra for at least a years worth of rated average use (and I mean everything, all the way down to the anti-bacterial sprays, brushes, case, etc) What about warranty? does it at least have a limited warranty which include manufacture defects?
For the money you're spending I hope this individual has an LLC and there's a contract going.
If you find that alterations cannot be performed (like your mohawk) then first impressions are everything. If they are having difficulties with making straight long-pile hair then imagine what it would be like if there is an issue such as visibility or movement within the suit? Ultimately is there other tailors which you envision your character being made by? There's a lot to choose from on FA!
