why, gaming industry, why?

gaming is going down the toilet almost as fast as TV has. no fucking lie. and it depresses me.
i think if consoles go 100% virtual media, no discs or cartridges ever, that could be the thing that makes me stop playing current gen games. for real. there are a lot of reasons behind this, it’s not just an aesthetic for me.
god this just breaks my fucking heart. i was ready for gaming to just get over this bump. i was disappointed when the wii u came out and it had a fucking IPAD????? for a controller. but i still had hope.
but i’m starting to lose hope.
soon we won’t even have controllers at all. we’ll have an app that you download to your phone. no control sticks, no buttons. all motion and voice controlled.
that’s not what i want. but that’s where i see this shit going and i’m not going with it. i’m just not. and that’s what hurts.
and what’s worse is that it seems like nobody actually understands or agrees with me. fuck.

Call me old fashion, but I like to be able to have controllers and discs/cartridges. I'm not a fan at all of stuff like wii u.
