Hey all,
Sam's journal reminded me
If you ever have a computer issue/questions feel free to ask my help.
I am a system administrator at work and well experienced at making computers/gadgets do my bidding (or at least work again in a civilised manner).
Screenshots of error messages are awesome.
If you aren't tech savvy I will ask if I can remotely access you computer to see what the issue is. If you rather not do that, it can make things difficult, but I will try! :)
Cheers
Cowsy
If I ever fix anything for you I will accept payment via artwork if you feel like you have to give me something. Otherwise I am just happy to help. <3

I myself do on-call work for IBM. Been doing IT since 95, did my share of the call centers, retail (ugh *shivers*), and commercial only. Have to say, I prefer the commercial only. Too many "know-it-alls" out there. If you're bringing your computer to me, with the error printed out. Don't argue me about what's wrong and causing it. Because I'll then tell you to go back home and do so yourself since it was all printed out and known before it was brought to me.
I am designated nerd in the office of up to 100 employees ALL age ranges & tech knowledge. Gained sysadmin not by formal qualification, by being a gamer/nerd and having the right brain to figure out all sorts of devices. Some days it's configuring DHCP, other days it's "Help my screen in blue".
Have managed to train the majority now to describe the problem in descriptive terms with screens shots if they can, not just "it won't work"... Sometimes it isn't fun trying to get people to understand that I can just fix stuff "because my screens doing something funny".
Needless to say, some days are frustrating. and adblock is the best thing ever to stop people doing the following: http://i.imgur.com/Qt0H6FZ.jpg
