Party and Bullshit? Really?

What's up with that song "How We Do (Party)" by British pop-artist Rita Ora?
For me, it represent that absolutely dull emptiness of today's pop songs. The chorus "I wanna party and bullshit / And party and bullshit / And party and bullshit / And party, and party" is symptomatic for the stupidity that many artistst sell their songs with nowadays.
Seriously, is it just me, or did the 80's produce much more pop songs with at least some depth and coherent lyrics than they do since the mid early 2000's?
On a completely different issue:
On my drive home from a friend's house last night, I ran over a lil mouse that appeared in front of my headlights when it was way too late. I could make out the tail and then it was "thump thump" already. I feel terrible :(

Poor mouse. No one's to blame for that. Don't worry.
On another note, I never understood why there are so many Metal fans. To me, that genre is mostly just noise to me. ANd then there are exceptions: I've heard Metal songs with some depth to them like I also heard Pop songs with depth and meaning.
The only genre I can think of spontaneously that is all about the lyrics is Blues.
Still... poor mouse. Why do they always have to cross the street when a car is approaching? :-/
Metal is more directed to the angry music listeners. All that loud stuff gives you a beat to thrash your head to. At first it was deep, but eventually people just accepted loud screaming to bang their heads to.
Well, blues is a bit of a dead genre at the time and will be gone for a while very soon. The blues is all about sadness and crap going wrong. Well, we live in a generation that gets everything handed to them and thins that were considered bad then(Living with a single parent, not being able to live in the same area as your friends/family/GF/BF, and few other things) are no longer bad or have some solution. For what I've heard, Blues is being replaced by emo music about rich kids that get everything they want nitpicking everything and rich white girl music where they complain about their previous break-ups. There's more but I suck at remembering all that.
Probably because the car lights lit up it's way and it decided to run for it before realizing where it was going.
I still feel that the opo music quality was higher in the 80's, though
Women dressed like men and men dressed like clowns.
To be fair the 80's was a decent decade of music, the 60's and 70's being calmer while the 90's brought a bunch angry white boy music.
Though, I don't know much 80's music since I wasn't born around the time and haven't bothered to look into it.
