This was useful for me, thank you! I've been pondering over making my own tablet pc, with a digitizer inside. Not needed but whatever. I think what helps accuracy of pen is calibrating the tablet, so I heard.

You act like it's a bad thing using an intuos 4. Wacom makes good stuff. Just wish I didn't trash my intuos 1., but at the time when I trashed it, I don't think they had conversion cables. "Kicking my self in the head for that one.

I had an off brand table that someone gave me, but it wasn't all that hot. I ended up giving it to an artist starting out. The intuos 3 does a pretty good job as long as I have a good supply of pain killers.

Ive got an old Cintiq 12WX and i still think they hold up well today even if the tech is old, also got a used 21ux from Wacoms EU site for £580 which is crazy and they had some 12s on there for around £240-£300 second hand so its worth watching the wacom europe site --> (http://uk.shop.wacom.eu/products/others/used-products/cintiq-used). They all come with full warranty etc the 21ux i got looked brand new its crazy.

my friend is offering to sell me his cintiq 12WX for about $600 but idk if I'm going to buy it

Ive used mine for design work for the last 4-5 years its been great the whole time. The only downside is the screen size which means zooming out a lot to do large sweeps and is the main reason ive upgraded to the 21 apart from that its been 100% worth every penny i payed and i bought my 12 when it was new and about $1,200. If the worst happens and you hate it Cintiqs hold their value so you won't lose money if you sell it on which is a bonus!
