I know I'll probably get some flack for this journal from the
anti-gun crowd, but quite frankly I don't give a damn!

Right now in Colorado there are bills on the table that will eliminate
freedoms from law abiding citizens. These new bills include:
HB13-1224 Prohibiting “Large Capacity” Magazines
HB13-1229 Universal Background Checks
HB13-1226 Remove the right to Concealed Carry at Colleges
HB13-1228 Payment for Background Checks on Firearms Transfers

Only one of the bills presented actually makes any sense at all.
The bill that requires a background check for private party firearms
sales is a common sense measure, that could have positive effects on
reducing gun crime. Right now all I have to do is ask a potential
buyer if they can legally own the firearm I am selling.  If they say
yes, then I can legally transfer the  firearm to them.  Now what's to
stop someone who can't legally possess a firearm from lying to me?
This can potentially have negative repercussions in the future if the
firearm is ever used in the commission of a crime.

Now the other bills are just down right unconstitutional! I'm
going to let this vid speak for why I need as "high capacity" mags.

As for removing the right for CCW permit holders to carry on
universities, and other facilities of higher education, this is just
creating more "gun free zones". These "gun free zones" are pretty much
shooting galleries for the criminally insane . Criminals by definition
break the law, so if they see a building that is a "gun free zone" do
you really think that will foil their plans? Are they going to stop in
their tracks and say "darn, I guess I can't take my gun into this
building and kill people"? Of corse not! Criminals are going to walk
in and start doing whatever bad stuff they had planned to do. The real
kicker for this "gun free zone" nonsense , is that in the event of a
mass shooting,  no armed law abiding citizen is going to be able to
stop the shooter. The good guys all left their guns at home, or in
their car so as not to break the law.

about this is that some people actually believe that this is how
things work in the real world.

As for the last bill,  the one about the state charging for the
background checks on gun purchases. Well that's just law makers trying
to impose more taxes.

Anyway, I'm sure this will piss off some of my watchers, and for that
I'm sorry, but I feel it is something I have to say!

So please, if your a Colorado fur, and believe in the seconded
amendment, PLEASE contact our state representatives, and lawmakers,
and tell them that you do not support these bills or any other gun
legislation/bans!!!!
