COME JOIN US! My main art computer's CPU fan died so I have to use a spare that doesn't belong to me. Oh well. This computer might have to become my main computer. We'll see.

easy fix. Unless the fan dying caused the chip to overheat? Make sure you use some thermal paste when you put a new fan on, Arctic Silver or similar.

Only problem is its a laptop. And the person fixing it said it could get destroyed while replacing the fan.

Ah gotcha. They're quite correct, laptops aren't really designed to be taken apart...internal components and plastic pieces are generally delicate and easily broken if one isn't careful. Good luck with it
