Star Conflict!

Think, EVE Online meets Freelancer meets World of Tanks.

Amazing game, yes, it's "free to play" model (meaning you buy microtransactions such as bonus credit earning and minor boosts to combat such as slightly better ammo) but it's really, really good.

Graphics are great, combat is fast paced and adrenaline filled. Balance seems interesting, and there's a lot of ships already in the game.

It's in open beta right now and available on Steam to download and try for free. If you like space combat games like Freelancer, Tachyon: The Fringe, X-Wing, or others, you will probably like this game.

Same goes for if you liked EVE Online but wished it was more twitch based, or like World of Tanks for it's matchmaking, tier system, and reasonable payment structure (does not equal pay to win, it's pay to avoid grind or pay to get slight bonuses but not enough to guarantee victory by any means).

The sign up process is a TAD confusing right now, you have to request a password reset to get it to work. Once you do though you can tie it to your steam account and don't need the password anymore.
