Lol, the movie was awesome and well done. I found it earlier today and my god, it puts some standards in place for other movies.

It was a great movie and thending made me cry just a little.

It was released last summer in theaters, but it was juuuuust recently released like in February on DVD, blu-ray, etc

If it's some depressing bullshit like all other wolf related stuff, I'm not watching it. XD

It's not exactly sad, more touching

It is sad in a couple places, at least one being very sad, but it's also Touching, funny and joyful. I'm sure you'll love them when they are very young cause the gild is funny as hell when she's a toddler.

I'm still too touched after finishing Morenatsu's Kouya route few days ago, I don't think I can handle yet another furry fiction of that kind this moment.
I will definitely watch it in some time though! I've been waiting for it exactly because it seemed emotional, not because of the wolf guy.

I watched the movie because of Summer wars too, the werewolf part was an extra, I loved the movie, cried and laughed a lot, now it is on my favorite movie list

I found the ending to be a bit disappointing but otherwise thoroughly enjoyed it.

I loved this film, watched it 3 days ago.

Touching, funny, joyful and incredibly sad in a great mixture. I can't wait for an official release. I just hope that if they dub it they include the original Japanese with subs [which I think they will as I'm pretty sure they did on my blurays of Summer Wars and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.]

It's usually the standard nowadays to have the Japanese track included. I'm pretty excited to hear Funi's dub when it comes out. They tend to take movie dubs pretty seriously, if Summer Wars is any indication. No idea when that'll be though since there has been no word on a release date yet sadly

I wish my ps3 wasn't my only bluray player, I rarely ever touch it yet wanna watch my blurays more often XD [got both summer wars and TGWLTT plus a fair few extras.]

Heh, I fell in love with Mamoru Hosada's linework the moment I saw "The Girl Who Leapt through Time" advertised on DVD back in 07 (I was in Yokohama at the time) and so I've been a follower of his for a while so seeing him work on Wolf Children was pretty fantastic to say nonetheleast; glad it's not just me alone who's interested in the story.

Funimation are in post-production in terms of the dub movie and are already making the rounds with Mamoru Hosada himself in the US for the official English subtitled version; they're airing screenings in Massachusetts next week. I'm not too sure how long the limited cinematic run will last in the states but my guess the Western DVD/Bluray will be out later this year...? Japan of course had theirs last month.

But blah blah blah aside, this is going to be some awesome to watch. :)

I'm late to the party as usual, but thanks for sharing. The film had a few moments of weirdness in it, but regardless, it really got the old waterworks going by the ending. Really enjoyed it. :)
