I got glasses in 2011, and it was like someone cranked up my brain's resolution :V

... wait... you mean that all of this amazing art, was made while you couldn't see anything?!?! O__O I... I can't even begin to imagine how amazing everything will be once you start drawing again and adjust to your new sight! XD


As for me with my glasses... When I first got them, I wanted nothing to do with them... I could see just fine, and it only made my head spin a little when looking at things... And then I learned that I was only supposed to wear them when I wasn't going to be looking at things up close... and then the world was happy again~ .... XD


And I'm calling BS on that for you! D< ... I agree for the most part, but there are a select few that are just amazing in my opinion XD


Then finally, congrats on the computer getting fixed~! I hope it's up and running soon! And this is also why I wish I lived close to everyone I knew... I have, currently, 5 working computers which only three of them I really use xD;; Would totally have given/lent one to either of you until it was fixed T__T

I'm curious to see if my style change will be noticeable. I already notice that my art lacks the detail I thought it had.. D:

And yeah, sadly mine are only for average/close distances, not for far-away things. So I have to take them off and put them on a lot throughout the day. xD I might get bifocals too later on, but for now the close-up stuff is what really matters, since I sit in front of the computer all day and barely ever go outside.. and no matter what, it's better than being blind! I think I need those cute little librarian glasses-chains so I can hang my glasses around my neck. x3

And eee I'm so excited for the computer to come back... it's been over a year now with his computer out of commission, so it's been pretty ridiculous. We're definitely going to the BBB once this is all over with... The manufacturer swore there was nothing wrong with the PC, but the guys that have it now seem to know what they're doing, so I have faith that this'll be the last time!

You're way too sweet. ;___; I could never imagine borrowing a computer from someone! Especially when we did well enough this past year sharing mine. I do wish I lived closer to everyone I know, though... simultaneously the best and worst thing about the internet, is meeting people who live so far away!

It may be a little adjustment to start blending colors properly now that you can see when they aren't blended? Still you've put out fantastic art despite this 'handicap'. I would never have guessed you had the vision problem.

I had no glasses once; I can see well without them, but distance stuff is blurry. I realized with glasses I could see individual leaves on trees instead of just the blurs of them. Makes recognizing items and reading from a distance much easier.

I honestly have no idea how I survived without glasses... I was prescribed them when I was like 10, but I hated wearing them and deliberately 'lost' them. Wish I'd never done that! Jeez the world is a whole different place!

I was the same way.
Realized I needed glasses when I was standing in line at McDonalds and couldn't read the menu. So I borrowed my wife's glasses and holy shit, I could see! Our visual impairments differ a little bit though. I have astigmatism, whereas I think Chaosie is just nearsighted.

Then I spent the next few weeks just looking at stuff in the distance and being able to see details, and marveling over it. I was like "WOW those roofs have SHINGLES on them and I can SEE them!"

I could read the stuff, but it was eye strain to try to focus on the letters with blurred edges. I only have a 0.25 correction, but I do have astigmatisms too. My lenses correct for both.

It hurt using glasses though, because my eyes and brain had to adjust to seeing so many sharp lines. I don't wear them all the time, just if I need to drive.

I'm not sure what the correction on mine are, but my eyes go all weird trying to read stuff without them.

I need to get new lenses soon, the UV/scratch resistant coating is coming off around the edges. I don't think it's supposed to do that :V

nothing wrong with your art, believe me. i had that experience too, the before and after of my first pair of glasses. how, oh gee, you mean that's what it really looks like.

When I was in 6th grade my dad figured out that I was pretty much in desperate need of glasses when I asked him if he could see 5 moons LOL
Even with glasses/contacts though I still can't see things clearly if they're very far away :/ I truly envy those people with perfect vision.
