Cosplay help for FAE 2013

Okay, well. Here's the thing..
I'm going to FAE with my girlfriend, but I want to do a cosplay with her.. She's going to try to do Turbo ( Wreck it Ralph ) and Jackson ( Monster High)
This is going to be her last con for a very very long time, due to lack of money and needing it to pay for bills and such.. I am a bit sad about that.. But I know these important things come first..
So I want to spend the most enjoyable, fun time with her as possible.. Since it wont happen for a long time.. I want this to a memorable con with my girlfriend.. And I want to do couple pictures with her.. T_T
If she is able to get Turbo done, than I will do Felix with her. But when she does Jackson, that's the hard thing.. The only two characters I would do is Holt or Draculara.. Weeeell.. There are two issues with these two..
To be Holt, I have to paint my face blue to do him.. And having experience with doing Joker. You have to be extremely careful when touching people to not get make up on them.. And I know my girlfriend wont want to kiss me with blue make up all over my face.
Than there is Draculara.. Erm.. I have very very low self esteem and self confidence in the way I look.. Especially when it comes to showing off my legs.. Which that insecurity has grown more since my knee surgery.. Having all these scars and marks on my knee.. *hides face into hands*
I just don't know what to do..
Any advice? Or suggestions?
