hi everybodyyyy, how are youuuuu

so, I'm coming to the end of this current round of commissions and thinking of where I want to take my art. I'd like to really start sharpening my stuff into nice, quality work, and I feel like I really enjoy painting and drawing scenery and backgrounds, but I don't do this enough! I'm always writing down little blurbs of pictures I want to draw that never get done. So! I'm thinking of offering some "characters in scenery" illustrations. They'd be clean, high-quality images where the color, character, and composition are as lovely as I can make them. I especially like to create emotionally evocative scenery work.

here's a smattering of the basic ideas I wrote:

under water, exploring a coral reef
under water, swimming through a kelp forest
under water, strongly backlit (focusing on the light coming through the water)
on the beach, exploring rock pools
sunset on the beach
in a snowy forest
beneath the aurora
relaxing in a bedroom (modern or exotic)
flying through the clouds
in a garden, lots of colorful flowers
bathing at a waterfall (a ych with multiple characters?)
at a hot springs at night, lots of lanterns (maybe also a ych?)
walking over a mountain path
taking a dip in the river
reading underneath the blooming sakura tree
about to eat so many sweets!! (a table covered in desserts and goodies)
walking through the misty forest
micro - sleeping on a desk
micro - exploring the garden
micro - trapped inside a glass garden/garden jar

etc, etc, etc. 9w9

here's some examples of previous scenery I've drawn, though none of them are exactly what I'd call examples since in the past I've tended to focus more on the background than the character, where now I want to put equal focus on both.

so, I'd really love to take a couple of "trial commissions" for this sort of thing! I imagined all of these with only 1 character, although 2 could be negotiated for most of them.
How does $60 sound? Any feedback or interest? I'd love to hear thoughts on this. 'w'
