I was going to link them, but it was 2AM when I wrote this, so I put it off until the morning. Seems you beat me to it, you ambitious person you. Yeah, I mostly listen to light/alternative rock (I believe that's what they refer to it as), though I'll give a listen to just about anything, just that genre of music has the widest appeal. Country is hit or miss, rap is largely miss with a few exceptions, hard/screamer rock is right out though, and I do have a fondness for many classical/orchestral music pieces. Heck, I'm a fan of pretty much everything done by  foxamoore.

As for the suggest bit of music, it was a nice listen.

I do this for D&D all the time! Me and the hubby collect all kinds of different songs for either a campaign theme song, individual character theme songs, or what we call "relationship" songs. We enjoy the love story element of roleplay (husband and wife after all) and so 99.9% of our campaigns have at least one "relationship" song.

For instance we are developing a campaign setting that is a mixture of Dead Space and Warm Bodies. Its much more involved than that...but it is a good representation. Already we have for that campaign::

There is one that my husband picked out for the overall campaign theme but I cannot remember since it isn't "main stream" enough.

If you would like more examples let me know. Cause there is another campaign we are actually in the middle of that has several awesome songs for it as well.

Nice. I wish I could get involved in more tabletop RPGs, but life seems to conspire against that. I just thought to take the idea of a theme song and take it one step further, as with the right songs in the right order, you can practically tell a life story in an elegant way.

I must say though, I'm interested in this campaign you mentioned. I am quite familiar with Dead Space, having beaten the core 3 in the franchise, but not Warm Bodies. Any chance you could elaborate? If it's too much to put in a comment, feel free to note me.

Well are you familiar with the movie warm bodies? It is pretty new just got out of the theaters like a week ago. Answer that question then I will elaborate based on that :)

Nope, never even heard of Warm Bodies. By the title I had guessed it was a movie, but that was about it.

Well the movie is about a teenage zombie (typical zombie eats flesh, undead, ect) who somehow falls in love with a human survivor. He ends up keeping her safe through various attacks and helps her get back to her home. He can speak and such though still a zombie. That is the gist of the movie, though I would HIGHLY suggest watching it for the full effect. Really great and funny movie.

Anyways the campaign has a mixture of that general concept above with the concept of some artifact that mutates people into horrible monstrosities. The zombie that will be one of the characters (played by my husband) is sort of a "cocoon" of sorts. He has been infected by the artifact but has yet to change. His will is stronger than most and so seeing a woman in trouble (my character) spontaneously decides to save her. My character is a researcher who is trying to find a medical cure for what is going on, not knowing it is a alien artifact brought to earth. Eventually the two of them will figure out it is the artifact and find a way to destroy it.

So yeah a "good" zombie with a woman trying to save humanity dealing with horrible monsters (which we are developing from scratch), the fall of the human race, and general survival. Gonna be intense, scary, mind fucking, and a sprinkling of a love story.
