General
A - Rats do better in pairs. Rats actually thrive on each others companionship.
B - glass tanks are bad for rattie breathing. If you MUST use a tank I recommend getting those add ons that make the tank taller and provide more ventilation.
C - Rats cannot be on Pine or Cedar. It is VERY bad for their little lungs.
D - People at Petsmart/Petco/Etc are trying to make a 'sale' just like everywhere else. Don't always believe them over people with real rat experience.
E - The term 'Fancy Rat' is nothing special. The $15 rat you get at the petstore labeled 'fancy' is just a rodent mill rat with a high price tag. Those other 'fancy' rats from the same mill can be found in the same petstore in the frozen section.
