I run a rat sanctuary and rescue in the UK. At any one time, we have anywhere from 20-50 rats in residence. So few people are prepared to help out unwanted or 'problem' animals, even less so an 'unpopular' species like the rat.
I specialise in rats with 'issues'; those that bite or have other behavioural problems, elderly rats, or those with ongoing medical problems. In other words, the ones other people - even other rescues sometimes - are reluctant to help.
I have thus far rescued over 300 individual rats, not including those who went on to new homes.

I am happily child free, but have two dogs who are just as good. Dresden is a 5 year old euro Dobermann, working lines. Zero is a staffordshire bull terrier x (father unknown, but suspected GSD or malinois)

I lean to the left politically, and always have, but condemn most of the views and actions of today's 'regressive left'. Please don't bring that crap here.

I don't mind being asked rat questions, but please remember Im not online 24/7 so you probably won't get an answer instantly. If its something urgent, go to the vet.

All art is drawn with a mouse, most art is either rats, dogs or monkeys. This is unlikely to change any time soon.

I love Gorillaz, Rick and Morty, nature documentaries, cryptozoology, the paranormal, horror movies, tattoos, and am passionate about animal welfare, primarily issues of laboratory animals, blood-sports, bad dog training (looking at you, Milan) and the breeding of extreme conformation in dog breeds. Pugs aint cute; they're tragic and suffering. Sorry. Dogs should have nostrils and a nose and eyes that fit in the sockets and teeth that fit in the mouth, and be able to take a breath of air uninhibited.
