I didn't like it.

Mostly because I was physically abused in school. When you've had your head bashed into a school bus window, been literally trampled, regularly been kicked in the nuts by surprise for no reason, and have scars on your head and neck because people pushed you over on to brick benches, chain link fences, and locker latches, then you can talk about bullying.

I would very much have preferred to have been called a bad name once in a while.

Oof. I'm sorry. Bullying is bad no matter what form it takes, Physical or mental. It leaves behind fear, doubt and bad self confidence. One of my mates was also beaten mercilessly until he found a pipe in the school yard. No one beat him anymore after that. I may have never gotten beaten or picked on but I was largely ignored for my school life. I never had a boyfriend until my senior year and no one wanted to be my friend ever. It hurt but wasn't nearly as bad as what other people have gone through.

I liked this video because it talked about how words aren't as harmless as most people would think. Sometimes mental abuse can have worse and sometimes longer lasting effects. I was mentally abused by my own father so I have an informed perspective on how badly it can effect someone. Maybe if this reaches the right people there will be better anti-bullying measures.
