diodki666 has donated his services to the packages!!! <3
What happened?
So, today we were contacted by a nice guy who was looking for a home for two young (approx. 8 months) leopard geckos because his children are no longer interested, as they have a new puppy. He gave them us for free and since we have two other girls we accepted. We honestly believe he had NO IDEA how sick they are.
However, when we inspected the geckos (after he had left), we noticed a variety of problems. They are both very undernourished, have calcium deficiency, and both their stomachs are completely impacted with sand. The guy mentioned they had been off their crickets too, no wonder!
One of them is worse than the other, his bones are deformed, and his stomach was rock hard with sand when he came in. The other gecko has a prolapsed cloaca, and is also impacted, though she seems a little better than the little boy.
They are only 8 months old. Leopard geckos can live for 20 years, and these babies are going down a dark road to getting their lives cut tragically short.
We found out that the previous owner did not have a heat mat (bad), had no calcium dish (BAD) and they were kept on sand (BAD BAD BAD). He had not been dusting the crickets or gutloading them.

Why do you need donations?
We intend on doing our best for these poor creatures. I have studied exotics, specializing in herpetology but we understand that they really need to see a specialist vet. We also are prepared to care for these geckos as long as they live, and to meet their needs.
Recently due to illnesses, I have been behind on work and we literally have about £2.00 to our name. That doesn't even pay for our bus fair TO the vets.
Some of the things required to treat these poor animals are:
- Liquid calcium
- Feeding syringes
- UV light (which we have, but donations will help towards the electric cost).
- Powdered calcium
plus...
- Vet check-ups plus any medication
- Possibly operations
- Euthanizing (as a last resort)
What are you going to do?
We are very worried, but fully intend on treating and caring for these poor little geckos.
As of now, they’ve been put into a viv with a UV lamp, heat mat and on newspaper. They have no food, but have water and a calcium dish.
They’ve both been given warm baths to try to encourage pooping, and also been fed a little liquid calcium via syringe. Once they have starting pooping (with luck!) we will feed them some baby food and mushed crickets (yum!)
This is all we can really do, but they really, really need to go to a vet. We’re just going to constantly nurse them and hope for the best.
How much should I donate?
ANYTHING will help! Absolutely anything! We are grateful for every little penny! We're starting a fund for their vet care and home nursing. Please, please help us. Plus we will draw for your donations! Please see below!
All I ask is you title it 'DONATION' and send to neonpossumATgmail.com
PLEASE send it as Great British Pounds (££££)!
What can I get in return for my donation?

i wish i could afford to send over more. I'll spread the word and if i can i'll send more
I'm so sorry for the poor gechos and I really hope you'll get
the money for the vet bills and that they will survive.
I'm posting a journal here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4450050/
Good luck with saving those wonderful little creatures.

No worries hun, I love leopard geckos to pieces and really hope you guys raise enough moolah to help them
In reality they have come from a home where there welfare needs have not been met thus causing them to end up in such shit condition. In my honest opinion i would suggest PTS and put them out of the constant suffering they are obviously in. Its not a nice thing to say but its what is best.
This whole thing makes me feel so sick ;_;
I'll be posting this in a journal.
And please add that ill do digital line art for those 20+ and for 30+ ill do flat colour picture single characters :3
