I am a big believer in the idea "To each their own" ..especially in the art world, yet, I'm stuck on the thought, "What's the point with YCH?"
Has anyone purchased a YCH commission? What led you to do so? And were you satisfied? I'm just curious.

FA+

I don't understand it either. I would never buy one unless it was free. If its free then what the heck, ill sign up. Need to finish my ref sheet for that though.
Art is something I love, but sometimes if it's something I don't want to draw it can seem like a chore, but something that just randomly came out of me and I figure it has the potential for more, but I am missing a character for it/don't feel like it fits mine I like to offer it up to other people.
As a buyer of pre pose, it's nice to see the pose you will be getting For example "sitting facing left with head looking up and arms back" would look totally different from drawing to drawing, even by the same artist.
Some people are also visual, so it helps to see the product first. If I see a YCH and I like it, it's nice to have a vague idea of how the piece will turn out.
If you like the persons style and you like the pose, you're pretty much guaranteed to get a piece you will love.
Of course I like regular commissions too.. As an artist it's a nice challenge to try to piece together what a person describes to you, and as a buyer it's nice to be surprised sometimes too.
But yeah, that's my two bits :)
